Q: Can I order a TuffRail with a curve, corner, or intersection?
A: TuffRail cannot be curved, corner added, or intersected. We can only offer straight rows of TuffRail systems.
Q: How much space should I leave between my wall and end of the TuffRail?
A: We recommend leaving 4-7 inches from the end of the TuffRail to your wall. We recommend this space so if you ever need to remove your TuffPin for maintenance, it can be removed without having to take the TuffRail down.
Q: How much weight can TuffRail Support?
A: TuffRail can support upwards of 2,500 lbs, however not all ceilings can support that amount of weight. Please evaluate your ceiling to determine how much weight your joists can support. Additional supports may be recommended for certain ceilings to avoid any damage to your space. If you have concerns regarding weight your joists can handle, please email us photos and we will give you the best recommendations. (sales@tuffrail.com)
Q: My joist spacing varies from one to the next, what joist spacing should I order?
A: If you have different joist spacing between joists you have the option of ordering a customer rail which is an additional $85.00. Custom rails can have a lead time from 1.5-3 weeks. We recommend customers mount a 2x4 or a 2x2 piece of week to the ceiling joists first then mount a stock rail to the piece of wood. This method ensures that the rail will work for every application.
Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: We will ship anywhere in the world. We recommend our international customers get a quote from our sales team before placing their orders. Please note TuffRail is not responsible for any taxes/duties at time of delivery. Taxes and duties will also not be Included in the quote.
Q: How long does it take to receive my order?
A: We fill orders on a first come first serve basis, meaning if we have multiple orders before yours it may take 1-2 weeks to receive your order. Also, because we offer a large verity of lengths and mounting hole spacing we do not always have the rails in stock and can take a week to be machined. We pay incredible detail to our craftsmanship which it why most orders leave our shop in 4-8 business days. We will update customers if it will be longer than a week lead time.
Q: What is your return policy?
A: Please Refer to our about section on our website for information including our return policy, warranty policy, and other important information.
Q: Can the TuffPin fall out of the end of the TuffRail?
A: We provide black end screws for each TuffRail to prevent the Heavy bag from either end of the TuffRail. If these screws are not installed or removed you TuffPin and equipment can be romoved on either end.
Q: What color can TuffRail be purchased in?
A: Truck and Trailer TuffRails can come in a black or a clear satin andozing finish. We do not recommend the overhead TuffRails to be anodized. The anodizing does not penetrate the aluminum material so the black will ware off over time.
Q: What is the difference between the Truck/Trailer TuffRails and The Over head TuffRail systems?
A: The Truck and Trailer TuffRails have drop out holes along the TuffRail that allow the TuffPin to be removed. The Over head TuffRails do not have the drop out holes, TuffPins can only be removed from either end of the TuffRail. Over head equipment can not be locked into position in the large drop out holes and could cause injury.
