Tools for Install into Wood

I drilled a 1/4 hole ½ from each end of 8 foot rail, and used a ½” counter sink purchased from my local hardware store for about $9.00. The countersink bit just fit in the center line groove and just clears the rail channel. The 3/16 predrill for the wood kept me from fighting while screwing the 2" screw into the wood. I would suggest clearing any chips from the rail before use. I used WD-40 for the drilling as well as clean up. It worked very well.
